In line Filters

In line Filters

Column in line filters can be used to quickly filter information on screen by typing in the first few letters of the search criteria.
Below each column name are blank fields which filter the records on screen as you type in your search criteria.  The search mechanism uses a “like filter”.  So if I type the letter A, all records containing the letter A will be returned, regardless of the letter’s occurrence in the record.  The same will apply when the search criteria are extended, matching the sequence of the phrase entered with its occurrence in the record’s name.
To use an in line filter:
1. From the menu, navigate to Volume and Volume Entry (for example).
2. Click on the Search button.
3. Using the Supplier name column type the first few letters of a supplier.  All matching records will be filtered instantly.

4. There is no restriction on using any number of filters.
5. If you are using a customised View with a filter as opposed to a generic View, you may find you already have a limited number of records to begin with.
